The house is located in Plakakia, a quiet residential area 15 minutes walk from the port of Aegina and only 7 minutes walk from a bay with a lighthouse (Bouzas’) and two beaches. This bay is called by the locals “swimming pool” due to its calm and crystal clear waters. The street has kept the traditional stonewall fences, pistachio and olive trees and a quaint vernacular look. By the lighthouse is a small stonewalled church with a nice yard where kids gather to play and adults come to enjoy a nice view to the sea. The house enjoys proximity to a family hotel with a large swimming pool and tennis courts, that one can enjoy for a small charge. An organized beach called Kolona, after the ancient Apollo’s temple surviving column is a 10 minute walk away from the house. Other sites of interest that can be reached by foot from the architect’s house is the Archaeological Museum of Aegina, the Kapralos Museum with sculptures and paintings and cultural events during the summer,
