The owner of this house tells us that just sitting on 'the balcony of the world' is a reviving experience in itself. We can believe this! The house has exceptional panoramic 180 degree views of the sea since it is located above on a hillside. The colours of the sea and sky are always different with the constantly changing light. Guests who wake early in the morning will not reget seeing the sun rise - it is magical. At night it is possible to see the twinkling lights of Pireaus port on the mainland and those of boats which are cruising for far-off islands. You will no doubt spend alot of time on the spacious terrace which is 100 square meters. The house is located above the village of Aghia Marina which is 15 kilometers away from the main town of the island - Aegina Town. The house is enclosed in its own private garden on a plot of 2,200 square meters. There are private steps from the house leading down to a very small 'port' where there is a pedalo waiting for you to explore (this belongs to the house and guests are welcome to use it). From this little port you can enjoy swimming and snorkling. 'The Balcony' will accommodate 8 people. The house is arranged as two living areas. The 'main' area has 1 double bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds. There is a bathroom and additional WC. There is a 'mini apartment' to the rear of the house with 1 bedroom (with twin beds) and a second bedroom with sofabed. You will also find a WC with shower. This arrangement will be ideal for 2 couples or 2 families. The main living area has a large open plan lounge/dining area with well equipped kitchen. The lounge has an open fire. The lounge leads to the terrace which is described above. The terrace has a pergola to provide some shade from the sun. |

'The Balcony' is located a couple of kilometers from Aghia Marina which is a village 15 kilometers from the main town of Aegina. Aghia Marina has one of the best golden beaches on the island and is a popular tourist area in the summer. However, 'The Balcony' will especially suit people looking to get away from the crowds to enjoy nature and calmness. For this reason it is necessary to hire a car (or bike). In Aghia Marina you will find shops, tavernas and bars. |
